Reviewing the rules of the game
Before the game, the referee goes over the rules of the game.
Starts/re-starts the game after a goal, or start a quarter. One person from each team meets in the middle of the field and tries to scoop up the ball, or pass it/flick it to a teammate.
It's all about teamwork!
... as well as catching, throwing, and picking up ground balls.
Honor the game
Getting ready to shake hands with the opposing team.
All coaches with Merritt Island Lacrosse are either Level I/Level II certified, or they are on their way to becoming US Lacrosse certified coaches.
Merritt Island Lacrosse Girls Team
The girls lacrosse game is played with 12 players on the field from each team, and instead of face-offs, they have a "draw" to start/restart the game.
Fastest Game On Two Feet
Stop by at one of our practices and/or games and see why lacrosse is called the fastest game on two feet.
All practices for boys and girls lacrosse will now be at Jefferson Middle School, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm - dark, and Saturday mornings from 10-12pm(or at the schedule game time/place). Please note the time change to 6pm during the weekdays in order to take advantage of daylight hours.
Registration for the season is still open - we are recruiting for all ages, boys and girls, from 1st-8th grade.
