Merritt Island Lacrosse Club would not be complete without a complementary girls program.
Girls lacrosse is more like the original sport played by the American Indians. The traditional lacrosse stick was made from wood, often hickory. Today’s lacrosse sticks and the equipment may look different but the traditions and true heart of the game play on. While some of the fundamental skills mirror that of the boys game, the rules, field and equipment make this game seem entirely different. Finesse, grace and athletics makes Girls Lacrosse a fantastic sport to play and watch. Lacrosse is a fantastic sport for beginner athletes and those who participate in other sports as well.
We are committed to see our girls program grow and succeed. Come out and discover what Merritt Island’s Lady Jays have to offer!!
